happy 2010 guys :)

i wont get chance to say it later as i am heading out for a little party at my cousins with friends from church, so.......

happy new year!!!!!

i hope 2010 brings the best for everybody...not only a new year but a new decade.
sometimes it feels so crazy just how the years keep flying by!

today was cool, went on the new years eve walk (followed by great food back at the atkin's farm in cheshire) that is becoming quite a tradition these days!

was lovely to catch up with some people that i havnt actually seen since last years walk.

the rest of the afternoon was spent chillaxing and sleeping, so that i have enough energy for tonight!

enjoy it people.....x

today i spent the afternoon in chester with emz, it was lovely just to walk around...
window shop (have no money to shop with money) and then to have a chat over the year thats just about to be left behind over a cuppa coffee at cafe nero ♥
getting the train there and back was fun too...some people may not agree, but having time out to think and reflect is good, and you get that on the train!
with the old pod-i in too :) (ipod)

really into 'downhere' at the moment....really good christian group...google them people ;)

thats about it today guys, really nothing interesting :)

take it easy....x

yesterday was a lazy day, we didnt really do much and we seem to be having alot of these lazy days at the moment. (its the christmas season...all in the spirit i say!)

we did watch my sisters keeper though, i had read the book and it did make me cry a river however, throughout the film i think i cried an ocean...really sad man!!
oh...and then to finish off the day we had a little game of cluedo as a familia...mum won!though dad said that he should have won, and if that was the case then i should have too ;)
so yeh, yesterday was preeettty boring all in all but hey, some days have to be boring ♥

and today.....
well, one of my mothers school friends and bridesmaids "square" came over with her husband and two beautiful daughters today, was lovely to see them. I was too young to remember the last time we saw them, so twas nice....
after lunch...laura and i got the bus into town and can i just say - wow!! it was ridiculously busy, and the sales were manic (i really dont see how some people thrive off sales)
bought a top from the lovely hollister though with a giftcard that i got from my gorgeous auntie ali for christmas......
and nope it wasnt in the sale ;) ....as is my way (whoopss!)
on the way bk to the bus we took a pitstop at starbucks to have some lovin in a cup....
queue was huge though, but thats the price you gotta pay...
anyways thats about all the interesting things thats happened in my life today (if you can say that is at all interesting)

so...stay safe and stay cool.... :) x

back to wem...once again!!

yesterday as a family we headed back to wem for the afternoon :)
it was really lovely to be back with friends from wem baptist church where my dad returned - now as a visiting speaker that evening!

weird that i must say....(for those who dont know, my dad used to be the assistant pastor along side phil at wem baptist)

following the service i headed back to bee's house... i honestly feel like part of the family now as i have been there so much in the last few weeks. We had a very civilised supper around the table with bee's family....bee's very big family i have to say!! i do the towers's ...very cool, godly people and becky's little cousin anna is just adorable....plus she has the best name out there, which makes her 10 times more amazing ;)

after lots of warm bread, smoked salmon, posh ham and loose tea i walked round to pastor phil's to meet the rest of my family and found my dad playing on the wii.....cant seem to get him off that these days - probs cause he needs to loose his belly ;)

we then picked up laura who had been at a friends party and began the drive back to liverpool...with a stop at grannies on the way back to pick up chester (our dog)

didnt arrive home til 1am.

all in all though, a great day spent with great people :) ♥

take care now peeps.....x

awesome awesome lyrics

'When everything is wrong
The day has passed and nothing's done
And the whole world seems against me
When I'm rolling in my bed, there's a storm in my head
I'm afraid of sinking in despair.

Teach me, Lord to have faith
In what you're bringing me will
Change my life and bring you glory &
There on the storm I am learning to let go
Of the will that I so long to control
There may I be in your arms eternally
I thank you, Lord, you are the calmer of the storm.

You rebuke the wind and the waves
Once again I find I'm amazed & the power of your will
Cuz I'm a child of little faith
I feel the wind and forget your grace
And you say, "Peace, be still."
There on the storm I am learning to let go
The white wave's high, it's crashing o'er the deck
And I don't know where I go
Where are you Lord, is my ship going down?
The mast is gone so throw the anchor
Should I jump and try to swim to land?

There on the storm, teach me God to understand
Of the Will that I just cannot control
There may I see all you love protecting me
I thank you Lord, you are the calmer of the storm.'

for all you guys who feel like everything is a little bit rubbishy at the moment....find rest in these words...
remember we have an amazing god!!!
really recommend that you listen to this song people...again by downhere....and its called
'calmer in the the storm'

the words are awesome and the tune is cool....boss song..

happy listening ♥

oh and remember this.....

'For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.'
Jeremiah 29.11-13

the pictures you know you wanted to see.... ;)

the day for the boxes...

well today was a lazy day...
i made up for my early rise and late night by sleeping in till 11am....shock shock horror!
oh well, i like being a laze sometimes, its cool ♥

my peejays were also kept on for a long time and i didnt go for a shower till 2...its the way things are done the day after christmas, we never really do much on boxing day...i dont think anybody does

except for you greedy people who hit the sales...
are you not satisfied with all the stuff you got given the day before? tsch ungrateful, ha!

so the grandparents popped over for tea an a light lunch...laura and dad played on the wii for a while.
then as a family we watched the proposal...i love that film i have to say it is deffo one of my faves

the ainscoughs then came for another evening of laughter and games...our laura got a board game called "the logo" so we enjoyed a night playing that...
its a boss game by the way....deffo recommended buy
board games are always fun...technology is good, but its always cool to be old fashioned every once in a while :)

so yeh that was our boxing day, nothing too exciting but great all the same.

hope you all had a gudd'n too

peace out my lovelies...x

christmas day...♥

well....the festivities in the whiteway household started at 6:30 in the morning when my youngest sister laura burst into my room urging me to get up - she had already been into mum and dads room and katies and had a negative response...so the last stop was me!
its cute how she gets excited, but with little sleep i didnt share the same excitement at all!! i dont think christmas is quite the same as you get older...for several reasons ;)

as always...santa had been :) and after all the stockings had been opened and presents unwrapped dad made us a yummy cuppa tea before starting to get ready for church.

my grannie and gramps were at church, which was very nice :) .... the service was too ofcourse ;)
after wishing merry christmas to lots of lovely people, we headed home to get the christmas dinner all sorted...well i say we, i mean mum....dad did help a little - ok he calved the bird (and the beef...katie doesnt like turkey you see)

there was so much food...it was crazy and i couldnt even finish nearly half of my dinner cause there was that much, the thought of it now still makes me feel stuffed!

the rest of the afternoon was occupied by the queens speech...oh yes we are made to watch it every year :) ...i have to say though i dont mind so much. also other tele programmes like shrek and the gruffalo...which i have to say has to be my favourite childrens book ever, and how sad is this...i knew it off by heart :P

our christmas day evening was spent at my auntie jane and uncle nicks....i always love going to their house. my cousin ben went to tennerife today with his football club for a tornament...he is very talented...oh his footy club is manchester united youth by the way ;)

so that was full of lovely food, lovely company and lovely laughs.

all in all...christmas was good....christmas is always good!
so i hope everyone had a happy one...
i had a txt from my beautiful friend candi from SA....she said
"jesus is the reason for the season"
so true....so so true!
please dont forget that guys...

heres some lyrics from the chorus of a song that was sung ever so beautifully at our carol service last sunday...

"Cause how many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many Gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Only one did that for me"

(if you wana hear the song....spotify it....tis called "how many kings" by downhere ♥)

anyways enjoy peepz, until next time....x

twas the night before christmas...

christmas eve people!!!

wahhaay only one more day...today has been a day of wrapping presents, tidying up, making cards and helping mum get stuff done.

once everything was ready, we had a suprise visit from jed and edward (bee's brother and dad...from wem)

and then we headed out for a mini social at the webster's ...was lovely food i have to say.

now its just time to chillax infront of the tv...new christmas peejays on and videos of christmas pasts have been played...

i especially enjoyed watchin the clip of my uncle paul....

funny stuff ;)

enjoy your christmasses and traditionals little misses and misters...♥

'because you are sons, god sent the spirit of his son into our hearts, the spirit who calls out, "abba, father." so you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, god has made you also an heir.'

galations 4.6-7

i arrived back in liverpool yesterday shattered....however we had our smallgroup christmas party/get together last night so i had to put the tired face behind and put on a happy one...make up helped with that one ;) good to be a girl!!
once the troops arrived...we had a lovely meal which everybody contributed too....and with bellies full, mark decided to lead in a sing song with andy on the piano.
as only scousers would.....we then proceeded to a present stealing game, which i have to say was quite fun.....but the thick snow quickly distracted the likes of our rob and mark....and the scalls across the road who decided to pelt our window with snowballs....and the good christians that we are.....got revenge (haha) by sneaking out of the back gate and throwing them back, which then lead to a huge snowball fight - happy days...
chubby bunnies continued the laughs and mark's competative streak was shown in full light when it was boys vs girlies in charades.
all together it was a fantastic night and to top in off, once everyone had left and the mess had been cleaned...myself and laura made a snowman in the back garden.

a white christmas after all...

god bless ya all dudes.....x

my time in wem...

well my time in wem was wonderful....richard lord has a few more pictures from my time away on his blogsite...click here for the link :)
i was greeted at the train station by sarah, alice and amy and then once back at home the gorgeous and extremely excited puppies came to say hello.
after lunch we headed over to the treacle mine, which is an old fashioned sweet shop and cafe. i worked there before moving to liverpool for 4 years....was nice to go back and enjoy a nice hot chocolate with all the works (marshmallows and whipped cream)
we then went to pick up the gorgeous ella from sarah's mums where we watched lassie...i never realised how good that film was once you get into it. playing pictionary that night was hilarious...especially sarah's idea of how to draw a "trunk"...she decided to draw a mans belly...where ella (her 12 year old daughter) chooses the easier option and starts to draw an elephant.
The following day consisted of a lovely walk around moreton corbet, which is an old ruin in a nearby village called shawbury....then back for a cuppa tea and the chronicles of narnia's prince caspian (who is gorgeous by the way)
it was then a sad and tearful goodbye...i always hate saying bye to those girlies!
that evening both me and rich went off with the why believe group for a christmassy get together...was lovely to catch up with friends from church once more...
that night i stayed at bee's house and played several games of cluedo with her brothers and the beautiful judith (jed's dutch girlfriend) before having a lovely heart to heart with bee and some sleep :)
making christmas truffles with becky yesterday was awesome too...except they didnt set for a while which meant we were rushing around like headless chickens trying to get them finished for when my grandparents picked me up.....
that was my time in wem....truelly wonderful.always is.
happy reading... :)

very tired right now i have to say...
today has been quite busy as sunday's always are. especially with our carol service tonight at the bridge :)

was woken up early this morning to get to church as the kids were hyjacking the service with their junior church navity. was very cute to watch all the children in their many shephard, wise men and angel costumes...not to forget the mini mary and joseph... :)♥

following the service i had a quick lunch with my mum, dad and laura (our kate was away) before beautifying myself...who cares if thats a made up word, hehe :)

i then headed off to rob (my cousin) and his stunning wife amy's lovely home in garston and snuggled down on the sofa watching the famous michael mcintyre's dvd - "hello wembley!" with two of my favourites - amy and emma ♥ love them very much so, and was a very chilaxed afternoon. (here are some pictures from rob and amy's wedding which was a beautiful septembers day this year....both myself and emma were bridesmaids for aim, along with my beautiful cousin naomi, who is rob's sister)

above picture....(left-right) emma, me, aim and naomi ♥

Aim then headed into town to pick our rob up from work and then we all ventured to the bridge for the carol service which was lovely. the gospel was well preached and many came in to hear the word and join in with the traditionals.... :)

had a lovely suprise to see that an old friend dale roberts was at the service and spent about an hour catching up with him after the service, which ofcourse was very delightful indeed (how posh does that sound please? haha!)
was also nice to chat to my bezzie dan too ♥
friends are always great to have, and i am really looking forward to christmas now...only 5 days yey!
i am heading to wem tomorrow morning for a few days too, so i may not be blogging up as much over the next 3 days....cant wait to go and stay with my second family - the lords and the three beautiful girls :)
anyways catch ya laters patatas....x
